East Jakarta PMI's Public Relation and Communication Section Head, Agus Bastian, said the assistances were distributed based on local urban village's request. The assistances disbursed were staple food packages, three hygiene packages, three family kit packages, three mats, and three tarpaulins.

"It is hoped the assistances will be able to lighten their burden," he said, Thursday (8/29).

According to him, the assistances were symbolically given to RT/RW caretakers to be distributed to the survivors.
